It's funny because for years I tried to find the one thing I wanted to do. Once I graduated from college and finally landed my first 'real' job as a graphic designer, I quickly learned that I wanted to do so much more; but I didn't know where to go next.

Often, we are asked as children, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' We find an answer, not realizing that that answer often boxes us in. What I've learned after nearly 15 years of working professionally is that you can indeed be more than one thing. Actually that is so much more in us that we often realize.

As for me, I grew up in Nashville, TN. After graduating from Alabama A&M University (Go Bulldogs!) with a BS in Graphic Design and Marketing, I began my career. I worked odd jobs for a while until I landed something more permanent. I worked for an award winning marketing firm. Later on, my skill set (and a few connections) led me back to my alma mater to open and operate a Wellness Center. From there, I started a non-profit, Saved in the City, Inc. and I haven't looked back since.

I am been fortunate to travel the country speaking, hosting events and empowering thousands of people, but most importantly, using my gifts to help others. After all, I believe that is what it is all about.
